I started in 2016 before there was any money for writers at all. It has changed and not all for the better. I like your metaphor about the road map. It would be so much better for a proclaimed content provider to share transparently with the ACTUAL content providers what that roadmap was and recognize and pay them well. I’m a believer in servant leadership and leaders eat last, but then what do I know? This is the path that Amazon took too—no need to recognize or thank the ones in any meaningful way, those who built their business on the backs of the early adopters who they learned from. It’s the business management methodology du jour.
