Laura Mohsene While citing other people’s words IS the polite and civil thing to do, I employ a strategy of lifting each other up. I don’t expect that my phrases and collections of how I juxtapose words are never ever used anywhere else, ever. I use well worn cliche’s too, all the time. Almost impossible to give credit to the originator unless I go do the etymology. Which I DO make every attempt to do when necessary. But not for every phrase. You’d be reading footnotes, not stories. So Garrick Giles, note to you from a friendly grandmotherly type over here, cite your references. Unless you just really did tap into the psychic subconscious. You could cite that too.
