Part of the problem presents in the psychological principle of selective attention. We only hear and see what we are looking for. The people who want to redirect attention find it easy to redirect to the message they want seen or heard. And blindly, they are refocused into something that requires no attention or vetting. It's the problem of the gorilla in the ball room. Thanks for the great article -- I hope people read it. Push it out wherever you can!
