Rules are like eggs. You can hold it in your hand loosely and carry it around safely all day. If you hold it too tightly, you will break it and make a big mess, and someone will have to clean it up. If we start with the premise that a rule lives on a spectrum, a rule that is simple and broad is better than one that is tight and controlling, rules can be useful for everyone. I'd be happy to send some book resources for Simple Rules.
